Official SAT Practice Technical Report

The Use of Khan Academy Official SAT Practice and SAT Achievement: An Observational Study (2020) is a Khan Academy^® and College Board joint analysis of Official SAT Practice usage by more than half a million class of 2019 students between their PSAT/NMSQT and their first SAT. The study was conducted in order to associate these students' use of Official SAT Practice with their SAT performance. It shows how students can make the most of their practice time by focusing on three best practices:

• Following personalized skill recommendations
• Taking a full-length practice test
• Leveling up skills

Students who used Official SAT Practice for 6+ hours scored an additional 21 points higher than students who did not use the practice tool but 39 point higher when they also demonstrated at least one of the three best practice behaviors.
